.The privately-owned, Italian firearms company that is Beretta is a global force in the industry, with its weapons being sold and used all around the world. It’s one of the most established weapons manufacturers in the world. one of the two most notable of its creations are the Beretta 92FS and the Beretta M9.
How do they differ? Well, the first thing you’ll notice when looking at the two is the design of the front part of the gun, as well as the aiming dots. To begin with, the M9 features a front sight with a solitary dot and rear sight with a central half-circle.

- The M9 is only used by US forces, whereas the 92FS has been used around the world.
- The 92FS is lighter beneath the beavertail than the M9 due to less material being used.

So, when you’re trying to tell the difference between the Beretta 92FS and the M9, don’t be hard on yourself for not being able to do so visually.
